Disease-free status and MAC certification in Members’ Directory
The status with regard to OIE notifiable diseases is very important. The OIE and the European Union recognise disease-free countries, areas and farms. At this moment, only those countries officially free of Spring Viraemia of Carp (SVC) can export SVC-susceptible fish to Finland, Sweden, Ireland, parts of the UK, and Denmark. The European Union will implement similar rules for Epizootic Ulcerative Syndrome (EUS)-susceptible species in 2010. From now on you can find the disease-free status for OIE disease and any applicable MAC Certification
information in the OFI Members’ Directory.
