CITES DOCUMENTS
More and more documents for the CITES CoP are now published on the CITES website. The Agenda and working documents are published at http://www.cites.org/eng/cop/15/doc/index.shtml (previous MU had a wrong link), proposals for amendment of Appendices I and II can be found in http://www.cites.org/eng/cop/15/raw_props.shtml, working documents as submitted by parties can be found in http://www.cites.org/eng/cop/15/raw_docs.shtml.
OFI OFICIALLY REGISTERED AT EUROPEAN UNION
For an increasing number of topics within the European Union it is now necessary to be officially registered as a lobbyist organization. Contacts with the parliament, for instance, are no longer possible if not registered in the official register. OFI has now been registered as a trade association
FREE PARTICIPATION IN INDAQUARIA 2009
In January 2010 OFI member MPEDA will organize IndAquaria-10, including an Ornamental Fish Business Meet. OFI has been requested to assist the organization to make this event a success and will also participate in the event.
One of the activities will be a buyers-sellers meet. In 2008 and 2009 this event was very successful for all parties. All importers are invited to attend this event. For a limited number of importers, members of OFI, the organizer MPEDA will carry all costs for flight and hotel. If you are interested to profit from this excellent opportunity to get to know the Indian ornamental aquatic industry, please contact Mr Anikuttan (anikuttan@mpeda.nic.in or dranikuttan@gmail.com).
