ISRAEL DECLARED FREE OF WSD
OFI member Sundag has informed the Secretariat that Israel is declared free of White Spot Disease (WSD). This was checked and reapproved by the Israeli veterinarian authorities recently.As a free of WSD country they will be able to continue to export shrimps to Norway if that country would be declared free of WSD and of course to other WSD-free countries.
OFI CONFERENCE AGENDA IN THE FIRST MONTHS OF 2010
In the beginning of the new year, in January, both the undersigned will attend Indaquaria 2010 in Chennai. In February OFI President Gerald Bassleer will attend Aquamazonia 2010 in Manaus, Brazil and participate in the boat trip to Barcelos. In March Roberto Hensen will participate in the VDA conference on the origin of ornamental fish in Germany. Also in March OFI CITES expert Svein Fosså will represent OFI at the CITES Conference in Qatar. Your Secretary General will also participate in this event, but on behalf of the European Pet Organization.
OFI 2010 MEMBERSHIP
Like we stated before the invoices for 2010 membership have been sent out to all members. If you have not received the invoice in the following week please contact the secretariat.
We also urge you to check your information in the members directory on the OFI website to see if it is current. If it is not please let us know.
